Seac Sub 130cm

  • I am considering the purchase of a 130 CM Pneumatic, Since Mares does not make this length I have chosen the Seac Sub. They have 2 models, the "Asso" and the "Caccia". The main difference that I see between the 2 models is the shaft diameter. I feel that the 8mm Asso would be better in a 130cm. Does anyone with pneumatic experience have a opinion on this? Also, how available are the replacement parts in the USA? will the spear and butt adapter form the sten work in the Asso?

Thanks in advance for your input

  • 130 seems really long for a pneumo...is that difficult to load?

    I've loaded a Mares 140 @ 35 bar with a 8mm shaft but I have arms like a ape . It's all in the technique bro.

When big fish are circling it's very easy.:D:D

  • I have the ape arm thing myself, I will have no issues loading it. Don Paul, have you shot large fish with the pneumatic? I have not yet. I have used band guns until last year, I cant load them anymore due to a shoulder injury, and have started using pneumatics because I can load them with my one good "ape arm". I have a 100 cm, havent shot anything over 30lbs with it yet. I want the 130 because that will be as powerful as it gets, and I used to hunt with a 130cm roballen before the injury. Can I expect performance from the 130cm seac sub pneumatic like the 130cm band gun with one 18mm band?

    Thanks, Keith

  • I have only shot two small 2O and 28 pound local fish with my Airbalete. I have test shot a few air guns in the 130 and 140 range and they can kill any thing I hunt.

I believe the 130 you have in mind will do the job.
