Way to go Roberto. That is taking a stand to help mother ocean. I salute you
Nice info Don. Thanks
Mother Ocean have given us many things, and the way I see it
we take, and take and take, and we should give some back
from time to time. There have been few studies in the past about lion fish,
for example, the spines dont act like a siringe, the point has no venenous,
is on the sides of the spines were it holds it.
The pain is suposed to be bad enough for some people saying
they wanted to cut his arms. so it is not a game. -
I dont know if we can really control this fish invasion to some degree, but at least we are trying.
"According to the US Fish & Wildlife page ,lionfish are now the second most populous fish on many deep reefs in North Carolina, and 85% of the juvenile fish on reefs in the Bahamas were lost due to lionfish predation, within a five week period. "
“These fish are from the Pacific and can decimate a Caribbean reef in just weeks. They eat non-stop and can lay up to 30,000 eggs. They are a huge threat to the Caribbean and we are trying to stop them while their population is manageable.”
