I got rid of a B.W speargun and i got with part of the cash an old riffe comp 3. It´s so old that it has no longer the riffe logo on it. In spite of that, it´s still a solid piece of equipment. It looks like it will last forever, i had oiled it a bit and look pretty decent now. In the water it shoots straight and true. With that kind of quality i wonder why Riffe doesn´t come with a longer warranty period, say ten years. This gun is about fifteen y.o. now and still kicking butt!!

I don't think they warranty the stock past three years. I had a stock warp because I left it in the car. The gun was around 5 years old and they offered a replacement stock once I send the old one back for $240. That didn't suit me. I bought tools with the same money and made myself a gun.
I'm surprised that the Riffe logo rubbed off, the serial on the top too? I'd be suspicious that it's really a Riffe but then who else would machine a stock to fit that crazy handle.

i will post some pics, the serial number it`s still on top

Nice touch uh?? The trigger mech is like new. Some people use to jam the shaft to lock it in the trigger. Best way is to recess the trigger and put the shaft on place, then release the trigger to its original position.

I thought the crescent line release was a recent thing. Maybe they used to have it then went straight and then back to the crescent. I like the straight better because it keeps the shooting line tight against the stock. I can see the butt is old style too.
I guess the logo came off when the gun was refinished. Good hunting with it monster.
