I am going to change out my bands soon as they are starting to show ware. I also want to quiet down my gun some as many have told me it is very loud. In doing this I figured switching to the fabric (nylon?) wishbones may be one of the only ways to do this. I am looking for suggestions on band and wishbone type. I am going to keep the same size bands as I feel they work well for me. I know some people make their own bands, is this suggested over purchasing manufactured bands? Thanks.

Can't go wrong with 1.8mm Dyneema for wishbone material. Nothing beats making your own bands with the best band material available. Wishbone inserts like these http://www.freedivingspearfish…/26-wishbone-inserts.html make replacing worn Dyneema and taking the bands out of spearguns with no slots in the band holes a cinch.
