Lookout! "Brand New(b)" comin' Aboard

  • Yes, isn't it wonderful? Another virgin freedive/speargunner coming aboard. ha. Will strive to avoid those irritating, redundant "newb" pitfalls and tendencies we all have come to hate. Will receive any sound, well-intended advice/tips and corrections with gratitude - undue criticism, hazing and any other or'neryness with a grain of salt.

Reading through some of the threads, I see a generous, caring and genuinely sincere bunch of tight-knit "killers". That's Great! Looks as though proficiency rules supreme here (I've always gravitated towards the "Masters") and can and do appreciate and respect your levels of knowlege, expertise and benevolence. Though I know nothing, firsthand, of any "Spearboard absurdities" I can see you regulars and faithfuls having left a napoleanic, ffflakey tyrant and found a new relaxed, "safe" haven to express your individual thoughts and feelings about a dearly loved sport and lifestyle which, bottomline, is most often beautiful and exhilorating, but sometimes fraught with real dangers and life threatening instances. Reminding me alot of skydiving where at any given second in the course of having fun, things can go terribly wrong and we end up losing a much loved and cared about "one of us" and feeling that loss for all its worth.

My hats off to the founder and Leader of this forum, Dan and also to you regular contributors - board leaders (and you know who you are), as you're doing a great justice to the free-diving and speargunning community by taking the time - your time - in helping to make sure we all have the most fun and avoid any stupid mistakes and egos which can often times spell the difference between a full, healthy life and an unseemly, and untimely demise. Yes, you speargunners are very courageous in actuality, be proud, have fun and always strive to be the person your dog (or other) thinks you are! Greetings from San Diego, Respectfully,

    Terry Hull aka Lightnin jones

P.S. Dan, thank you so much for your business acumen and philosophy.
Your honesty and integrity are going to serve you very well now and in the
future. It is due to your insightfulness and love of sport that I'm just now
able to enter my freediving and speargunning career through purchasing one
of your wetsuits, my first! As I'm usually living with budget constraints, I really
appreciate the price you've set for your wetsuits - they sound almost too good
to be true. Still trying to decide on the right color though - will phone in order of
    XL 7mm directly! Thanks again!
