Today is Wednesday and my friend and I both had time off for working the Typhoon on Sunday. We decided to take a trip up north about a 2 hour drive away in hopes of diving a less populated area and possibly getting some nice fish.
He came to my house at about 0715 and we had to finish tying his bands (new gun). We head out about 0730 and grab something to eat on the way. Its now 0800 and we are on the expressway headed to our destination. We arrive and the water and site look fine so we start to put on our gear. The beach is about a 20 minute hike down the hill/mountain.
We are in the water by 1000 and the conditions are less than we had hoped, the vis was anywhere from 5' to 65' depending on where we were. Didn't see anything great, but my friends band broke on the first load (he was using beads at the end of his wishbone line inside of the band) the wishbone pulled out of the bead. He is now down to 1 band on his 120. I got a few nice table fish but did not really see anything great, my friend lined up and took a shot on a 15-20lb parrot fish and it bounced right off of the fish
I have included some pics to give you an idea of the spot as we drove to the located and then again as we were leaving the the tide was getting really low.
