Hi, I recently moved to south Florida (Boynton Beach) and am very new to spearfishing. I have been wanting to go for many years but I have lived in north Texas for most of my life and even after a 7 hour drive to the Texas coast I'm not sure that I would be able to see anything in that water.
I have been a hook and line fisherman for many years but after snorkeling for the first time about a month ago, I am hooked! As soon as we got to Florida we went down to Key Largo and snorkeled from the beach.
I have been going to the Boynton Inlet for the past two weeks with my new pole spear and I have been having a great time! I plan to get my scuba certification and also a boat in the next few months but for now I am happy free diving.
I am an airplane pilot and I moved to South Florida to learn to fly helicopters.
I am a disabled veteran/USMC and was hurt in Iraq in 2004.
I have a pretty open schedule right now so if anyone wants a partner I would love to learn a few things.
