Enclosed Track Depth

  • Well as man of you predicted building one gun isnt enough. Im already planning my next project and Im looking to take on a few more challenges in this build. I really like the enclosed track on my first build and Im looking to put one in my new project. The question I have is, how do you determine the proper depth for an enclosed track so that the top of the mechanism is flush with the rest of the gun?

Also has anyone used a reverse mech with an enclosed track? I dont see a reason why it "shouldnt" work but I might be missing something.

  • very old thread ,definitely you got answer ,this for those who still read thread ,

for neptonic or similar trigger usually the flush of the trigger house need a 7 mm deep track shaft is 7 as well ,as the housing is 2 mm and spear engaged part is 5 mm so you should use your router to 7 mm deep track .
