Rottweiler puppies

Wow, brave dog! I would have been a little concerned if it were mine I think. Awesome video

The pups are 5 days old and all are healthy. The bitch has proven to be a good mom, it's her first litter. When the pups suckle their tongue conforms to the shape of the nipple, they get full and dose off latched on to the teat and eventually let go. When they let go sometimes the tongue is still curled up in the suckling position, I think it looks cute.

awwww, hell yeah that is cute. glad they are all healthy and so is mom.
how, if at all, does rok act around the pup?

He was a little curious in the beginning, when he'd come close to the whelping box the bitch growled at him. I don't want her getting anxious so I tell him to move off. Yesterday I held a puppy out to him. He came as close as one foot to sniff the pup, then backed off. The bitch is more relaxed now and will leave the pups alone in the box. When they're alone in there he shows no interest which is good. It's funny I've seen male dogs avoid little pups like the plague once they start to move around. Rocky would give them a wide birth if they were in the way of where he wanted to go.

The momma is beautiful. All are looking amazing for less than ten days old. Speaks well for the dogs.
Puppies can make even a tough guy act like a sissy. Looking at that video I want to play with them like a little child would. Something primal I feel
-
Yes they inspire nurturing. We are programmed by nature to respond in this way, and it's in the baby's advantage to evoke those feelings. Can't play with them as they don't perceive much yet. But they're fun to cuddle and I think they smell good They are surprisingly strong when they're squirming. Strong enough to push other pups off the teats and away from the mother.

Let me know man. If you give me some notice I can be available
