La participación en el evento fue elevada, ya que contaron con diesisete embarcaciones con un total de cincuenta y dos deportistas, de diferentes provincias de Andalucía, Gibraltar e incluso Ibiza, destacando entre ellos, pescadores de un altísimo nivel y muy conocidos en el sector de la pesca subacuática como David Fernandez Montero (Protagonista Instinto I), Juanjo Carmona (Patrocinado por Sigalsub), Miguel Alvarado (patrocinado por Alpha), Shane Shacaluga (Protagonista Pescando en Gibraltar), Raul Astorga y Guillermo Natera (Patrocinados por Omer) ... y muchos más.
El Sábado tuvo lugar en las instalaciones del Real Club Náutico de La Línea, cedidas para el evento, la reunión de participantes, donde se informó de todas las normas vigentes para la práctica de este deporte, horarios y las particularidades del Torneo. Acto seguido se ofreció un coctel de bienvenida que sirvio para que los diferentes deportistas entablaran conversación y pudieran conocerse, reinando un estupendo ambiente y dejando atras el afan de competir, que era exactamente lo que querian transmitir Javier Gonzalez y Marina Alcaidesa.
El domingo 27 desde las 7.00 am ya estaban los deportistas en las instalaciones del puerto, para repasar y poner a punto sus equipos, antes de procederse la salida conjunta de los participantes y barco de apoyo a las 8.15am. El tiempo acompaño durante toda la jornada, ya que amaneció con un día muy soleado y caluroso, soplando un viento suave de levante, pero con bastante mar de fondo debido a fuertes vientos de levante en dias anteriores al torneo que hacian que la visibilidad de las aguas no fuese la esperada, dificultandole a los submaniristas mucho mas las labores de busqueda de peces.
A las 14.00pm, tras la llegada conjunta de los participantes al atraque destinado para la prueba, se realizo el pesaje de las capturas por equipo, acto al que asistieron numerosas personas que se sintieron atraidas por ver el acto. Una vez concluido este, se le hizo entrega de todas las capturas al padre Isidoro Macias (Padre Patera) para su centro La Casa Familiar Virgen de la Palma, ademas Marina Alcaidesa le quiso hacer entrega de una placa homenaje, por la labor humanitaria que esta realizando con las personas mas necesitadas.
Hubo muy buenas capturas, destacando un Tachano de 6.810kg, una Urta de 4.505kg , un Mero de 4190kg....pero la captura de mayor peso fue alcanzada por Shane Shacaluga, del equipo Team Xiquitin, con un espectacular Denton de 7525kg. En la clasificacion se impuso el equipo Reina del Sur, capitaneado por Ruben gallardo obteniendo 45115puntos. El segundo lugar fue para el equipo Kronos, procedentes de Jerez de la Frontera e Ibiza, no conociendo la zona de pesca permitida en el torneo, por lo que demostraron el alto nivel que poseen obteniendo una puntuacion de 33650 puntos.El tercer lugar fue a parar para el equipo Caleta IV, de Fernando Cabas y Eloy Garcia de Algeciras y David Fernandez Montero de San Fernando que obtubieron una puntuacion de 30605 puntos.
