Aloha from Oahu

    Hi,


    I'm a freedive spearfisher from Oahu Hawaii and like many of you I dive or go fishing every chance I get. I started diving and fishing with my father when I was 6 years old and 44 years later (yeah, I'm old) I still look forward to going out. I don't really know what else to say except that I enjoy reading the info in this forum and hopefully I'll be able to contribute something someday.


    If anyone writes to me and I don't respond right away it's not that I'm ignoring you but just that I'm usually so busy with work that I spend what little free time I have going out with my family or doing something at the beach, leaving me very little computer play time at home.

    Aloaha uluabuster, great to have you on board...family first is a good thing....we will be here on your rainy days when the sea is not diveable.

    Howzit Chris, I live on the leeward side also in the Waikele area. I dive on the leeward side (Ewa Beach to Kaena) most of the time but right now the surf is HUGE.


    Howzit Don, thanks. I guess you have kids too. Busy, sometimes difficult but I can't complain since I was a real pain when I was young.

    Cool, I just joined the site too and I'm sitting in Oakland airport waiting for my flight to Honolulu. Of course I'm bringing my gear. I'm there for 2 weeks. One week work one week play. If you or any others want a dive buddy I'd be stoked to go out with some locals. And of course will reciprocate if you make it to the Bay Area.
