This guy trained this breath hold by deep spearfishing in the Med. He is not a competitive freediver. Unfortunately, he has suffered numerous episodes with Bends (DCS) issues doing repeated deep dives in a single day.
This was a National record and if he gets the rules requirements he can do a World Record attempt.

Drove down the block and came back....not funny what I just posted.:( I just flashed back to watching a guy die on a hospital bed and the horrible sounds his last gasping breaths were.:( yeah he was young and a smoker.
