Here are some shots showing my rear aluminum deck panel, and 1 of the brackets the will support the 12 ply 7/8'' radar platform plate/ filet table which will have a raised 2'' border to contain fishy water before in dumps off the stern through a drain.I used up some old west systems epoxie as a base to seal the wood before the black epoxie to be done later.
Next images show mock up of one of the 2 Ti struts that will triangulate the 2 stainless arch loops to the transom.( yellow rod for mock up).
The transom U-bolts will have L-bracket to tie in to the transom.
The little deck will have a port and starboard rod port in case my boy wants to troll a jig when the water is dirty.Cheers, Don

Yesterday I drove to Julian to pick up my newest crew mate, Kauai, a 3 month old Bengal hybrid. She will be in charge of fish processing this summer.Cheers, Don
I had a gray tabby colored cat with brown mixed in like that in the Philippines. We named her Gus but later changed it to the Hell Bitch. (I think I was reading Lonesome Dove at the time I got her)
When she grew up she would see medium sized dogs in the yard and run to the door doing that "cat growl". If I let her out she would charge the dogs and you'd hear them yelping and running. I'd never seen that brown color mixed in like that and figured she must have had some wild breed in her. She had no fear....until I got a monkey. A macaque. But that's another story.... -
Looking nice. Making great progress

Pulled the rear deck platform, hit it with 220 paper and two coats of Awlgrip, followed by a scotch brite to dull it a little.
2 counter sunk, 14mm by 2'' bronze machine screws mount it to the brackets with large machined knobs.Platform is 11'' off the hard deck.
Hard to work when your sick so I'm done for the night.Cheers, Don

Looks great don but isn't 2 screws a little light duty for build style?

Their 14mm in dia, plus the Ti Rod tie in points and 2 L brackets that will attach to the transom U-bolts.It won't be falling off unless I hit a low bridge.

Mocking up the radar arch tube angles with some scrap tube rems. Once I get my SS 1-1/8 I'll fab the 155 degree legs.

After two hr's of prep and glue sniffing, I'm hitting the wts.Tomorrow after a couple hr's of more prep and glue
the bow roller/cleat area will be armored with rub strake.
After all those fumes, I'm ready to fire up the reel to reel and get my grove on. :yay:Cheers, Don
-
My 2 hrs turned into 4 on reinforcing the bow roller pad area, went thru 24 $ of two part glue and 45 $ in rub strake, layup and prep for two part glue is very time consuming . This is one of 2 coats of Algrip black.
This boat is cutting into my pub time.;)Cheers, Don

I spent some time thinking about whether to put one on my rib. Looks good Don.

Thanks Dan, I got this one on F-Bay for 60 bucks, it was new old stock, I already had a roller. Their very pricey from Zodiac. I won't pull form this cleat on stuck anchors.Plan is to fit a large cleat to the transom, I'll also make up a nice bridle for towing to clip to the inboard transom U-bolts.
Cheers, Don
