Nice School of Dorado with Video

  • Nice bunch of videos. You have a real smooth style with the paddy fish. Have you tried having someone jump in behind you with a camera?

I am hoping to have someone do that some day so I can show all the people that come on my boat that you don't need to rush your shots and have the vid to prove it. I have taken multiple people out lately and most being friends. Only one guy (Paul) held off on shooting fish so I could film them. That was the video of the school of YT and Dodos where I just hung out with them. No matter how many times I told the other guys to try to relax and not shoot they just couldn't freakin resist jumping in and spooking the fish with rushed shots. One of these days I'll have someone on my boat that doesn't mind just filiming like I do and I'll see what I look like in the water:cool2: Until then I will continue to make due and film the fish before they get shot at and charged by divers.

Haha, you should've seen the guys this week when I told them to just hop in and check the paddy without a gun:laughing3: They thought for sure they were gonna screw up the whole paddy and spook the fish. Maybe that will serve as the eye opener for them on the next trip they go on.

You know, when you don't care if you actually spear a fish spearing fish becomes a lot easier:)

  • It is such a refresher to just look sometimes. You see so much more since the body isn't in hunt mode. So much flies right past you when you are a hunter looking for prey. Went out with a buddy last year and he was determined to shoot a white. I saw close to twenty legals that day and he saw nothing only a few yards away.

Great video Ben. I've been slacking on my GoPro lately.

Right on man. Sounds about right. I've been that guy many times who wants a fish so bad and my buddies plugging them right next to me. Live and learn.
