I booked an overnight trip on the Cortez out of San Diego in search of yellowtail and mahimahi a little while ago. I managed my first yellowtail and couldn't get a strike on the mahis but I could see them everywhere. Here are a few pictures of the trip. The Hamachi kama and Hamachi sashimi was awesome! Looking forward to pulling some more up hopefully with my speargun the next time.
