Do short pneumatics have more power than an equivalent length band gun?

Yeah I figured it's some Picasso or omer speargun, probably an old one too. European pipe speargun design amazes me sometimes, they're all so toyish. I guess that's what works for the smaller fish of the med. I've seen some videos of them taking big groupers too though.
