Freedive watch battery life

  • Need to buy a new freedive watch, and a big factor for me is long battery life. I've heard some guys complain about having to replace the batteries really often, but I can't remember which watches they had. I'm interested in learning how the Aeris/Oceanic F10 V3 stacks up, as well as any other makes/models. Thanks in advance for your input.

  • I haven't really tracked it accurately, but I'm guess my Aeris F10 lasts maybe....a year and a half or two? I don't have a lot of experience with others. But changing the F10 takes a minute or two. Dan supplies the battery kits.

  • My Aeris lasted 4 years (the watch). -battery life was like Hank said, 1 - 1 1/2 years. I have now the Mares Smart Apnea and like it very much. 2 years now and going strong.

  • Thanks, Marco. I was planning to check with you before I made a decision on what to purchase. Good to know about the Mares, that one is definitely in the running.
