I'd hit it with a Hand Held Grinder at first to get the basic shape. Then fine tune that spinning it on a bench Grinder. Then fine tune that on a Wheel.

I only got a real close up look at the one which buzzed me, but that seemed to be @ 4-5ft accross. It was a surreal event. Just like rows of Scallops. This bay has an opening at one end, and the other end is open to the sea. Current flows through there pretty quickly. Would have been great photos..

Cool. I had a strange Mola Mola experience once. I was diving in water with 8O-1OOft vis that was @ 12Oft deep. I dropped down and as the bottom, which was a sand, rock, bay, came into focus, I saw what looked like rows of huge scallops. The lines of the rows were in order, and there must have been over 5O of these shapes. As I descended bit deeper, I realized that what I was looking at were the faces of Mola Mola's staring up at me. I was at the end of my breath and as I turned to surface, one of them broke off and buzzed me at high speed, actually leaping clear of the water. Then it returned to the bottom. Never seen this again. I figure it was some kind of mating ritual. Maybe they were sitting on nests?

I saw the hole in the Gill Plate the first time I looked at the Photo. follow the shooting line scratches, they point to it.

I still don't understand why they photoshopped the Logo on the Hood Upside down though.

That actually looks like it would work well. The Doubled back bungee would allow for the pull of the float not to tug on the Shooting line. I've seen a similar RA Breakaway set up using a smaller Eye screw and a single Larger Rubber. You'd need to make sure the Barrel was Solid at the point of Drilling?

Since you asked.. Hate is a strong word and I don't think I hate anyone, but I dislike in the extreme Matt Davidson from Blue Tuna Spearfishing because he's a lying, thieving, turd, who never paid me for 7 guns, 14 shafts, 17 reels, 7 gun bags, 7 slip tips and thinks "it will just blow over". Also I dislike corrupt police and politicians who sell out the environment.

Hmm lots of speculation. I think I know the guy and I'll ask him why he didn't go for a meat shot in the Top loin rather than the shot he took which looks like it was just behind the Gill plate.. What pisses me off though is that they photoshopped the Logo on the Hood upsidedown.. Nice Mahi Mate.

I rewatched the video without a screaming baby in my lap, and with sound. Awesome Reel noises.
I think I was stalled loading on a few images which showed lines everywhere this morning, my second viewing didn't seem so harrowing.. Nice fishing.

Here's a link to a story I read on the photos above. Not sure about the propriety of linking a story from a Euro board? Hope it's acceptable. It is a good story.

Arctic spearfishing: Halibut hunting in Norway

Great Video. It's particularly nice to catch something that is such good eating. Look at all those good eating fish on the stringer too.

Props to the guy for landing the fish. Was he using a Slip Tip? BUT............................. To any who watch this video.. please do not follow this example of reel/floatline fishing. I was cringing for the entire fight seen. What a cluster~`~`~`~` of lines this guy allows. A 9Olb fish can definitely Drown a diver. How many lines did he have thrown about all over the place? That is NOT how it's done. 5O% of landing a big fish with a reel is making sure that you are clear of all lines and not allowing a Birds Nest. This guy was lucky he didn't get snagged up.

Here's one Kveite my friend Anders got. That's an Ulusub 145cm Gun.. 13Olbs

The Monster........................ was caught by Rod and Reel.. Then Anders did a little R and D on whether he could puncture the Skull, but that's what's out there. 3OOlbs.. no line cluster~`~`~`~`s allowed..

4 x 16mm would be just about right. 3 x 2Omm is not a great combination.. 2Omm bands kick like a mule, and I can imagine the muscular stalemates involved with Loading a 2Omm band on a Long Gun... Cut the Slot for 4 bands. You can always take one off.

What Don says is true. I think a 3 Band Gun is possibly more accurate, but I like to add that 4th Band on a True Bluewater Enclosed Track Gun. 3 Hot, fresh bands will due the trick and be accurate, but over time, the 4th band will make a difference as the bands age. The other day I nailed a Wahoo with only Two bands on a Bluewater Gun as I was unloading and a group rushed up to me.. But, more often than not, in the Blue things have a tendency to be bigger and further and that extra bit of push can make the difference. I'd go with a Slot for 4, you can always remove one band.

We have a few [I think 3pcs] 145cm Rear Handle Open Track Guns which we could put on sale. $4OO shipped, no bands, no shaft.

We had our Big sale last year for two reasons.
    1. Those were stock guns we made which were supposed to go to USA Distributor for their summer order. But when they didn't pay for the preveious year's summer order... we couldn't send them another shipment which left us sitting on their order which we had already made.. So, we had a sale.
    2. We needed to get our cash flow out of Wood, and into Cement.. building our new factory. Which.. is getting the roof this week, and probably has one of the better views of any Speargun factory around..

So, the bad news is that I don't think we will have another sale like that. We will always have a few guns which we develop as prototypes which we put on sale, but I don't see another full range 5O+ Gun sale coming..

    Hi Kolt,

So.. come on out. Best thing to do would be to come directly to Uluwatu. There's plenty of places to stay out here. Could be some waves, could be some diving. Then we can plan some adventure. I've been working a lot so that I could do some diving in the upcoming weeks.

Let me know in advance anything you'll need, ie Weights, and I'll try to put some together in advance.
