Real nice Gun. Thanks for the info. Now i need to buy the piece of stock and start working on it. And for sure get this piece of rubber for the end. I like the black matte color of it. Ans if the last pictures show the butt you made. yea that is a lot darker than what it looks before. Thanks for the info.

Where you bought the material?. That looks good and comfy.. Can you post a bigger picture of that new project on that carbon gun you show the but off. I think that clear black color will look good underwater. Are you guys trying to paint the butt, to get some protection on the material or just to match it with the guns?

Nice thread Yaudon.:thumbsup2: I'm in the same bot as you do. I found a few websites that sells the triggers . I just google it. But i will keep a close eye on this thread to get to know all the parts i need. met a guy that have most of this machines and tables to work on this project. With that beign said. Dan, Pucho, Marco and all of you guys in Puerto Rico that have your home made ones. Put your 50 cents. Help Yaudon and this boricua get the knowledge of Gun building in just one thread:D. and tell us what triggers mechanisms are good and why?

As we speak i'm trying to find where i can find a good size piece of teak. to start my project. No doubt Riffe is a good Gun. I'm just trying to see what else is out there before spending my money. Now how about Fins. I have used OMERS. And the GARA's. Will love to get a good one that will last a long time. i dont mind if it have to be carbon. What you guys think are the best ones out there.

I have used Riffe for the last 6 years i beleive. C3x with 100' Floatline and riffe float. Also OMER wetsuits one 5 mm cammo. and a 3mm green cammo that was made by mistake from omer. That is one of the few they made about 4-5 years ago with a 3mm material that got to them by mistake. I'm thinking of buying another suit but first will love to concentrate in a gun and float/floatline I also used a Riffe Baja for a long time for Deep waters/Blue Waters. Good gun but way to heavy for my taste. I saw one of damn Deathsticks they look awesome, and people that own them say good thing about it. A little to expensive for me but still in the search. And i might get one of the knives that someone found in Home Depot. Dont know if they rust fast but i can check, they are cheap.

Also. If you have any type of recomendation about gear. please post. i'm open for opinions. See i have always used wood guns. But willing to try something like rob allen ones. same with floatlines. willing to try reels. So share your knowledge without making it an argument. just post expertise and keep it clean. i know by now that most of you have lots of knowledge but with spearfishing changing so much in the last 10 years. i will love to read about the opinion on gear i might dont know about or just dont have to much experience with. Starting with Guns, and Fins if possible.

Well since i'm trying to get back to spearfishing after joining the army. I make the horrible mistake of selling all my gear. Looking to get my hand in some nice gear. I got 2 cammo wetsuits i will be selling laterif they dont fit me. Not sure yet. If you have any Fins, Guns,Floats, Floatlines, knives, that are in good conditions please post pictures or send a PM. I cant wait to get all my gear back before the summer so i can get in the water.:).

HMMMM. I never tought of this in the past. and for sure will help giving the final blow to the fish wothout having to pull out the knife. I for sure will get this done on my next gun.

WOW. Pucho Nice work there on both guns. And like everyone else Please post more of your art. That is some good stuff right there. Will love to see some freediving and spearfishing ones. with those vibrant colors. If you sell send me a PM i might buy a few for my office. Trying to decorate the office with spearfishing stuff.:D. Please keep this post updated as you keep progressing on this beautifull guns. Both of them. :thumbsup2:
    :puertorico: is da :blowup:BOMB.

Me beign a experiece scuba diver instructor. also a really long time freediver spearo i see the point of laziness. I see and understand the way scuba spearos feel. But i really love the freedive spearo world that i love the most. Scuba is fun for lots of reason. and you have to remember they are down there for a certain amount of time. Freedive spearos are out in the water for way longer than that. Yes you enjoy more the freedom of less gear in the water and the world of a silent hunter. scuba produces lots of noise. so i guess in all we get more chance to close up on cetain species. I really love both but love the freedive version . because it free me from the daily routine and issues more. plus like stated before more cheapo.:D

Bienvenido a casa!!

And thanks for the welcome.:)

De verdad tremendo arpon. Felicidades. y tremendo trabajo.

:thumbsup2:

:laughing1: Haha I'm from :puertorico: too. lived there 29 years now in the military for 4 years. The only thing making me miss home is going spearfishing. Nothing like getting in the morning drive a few minutes get in the water and let the blood roll. I really miss that. That is why i'm trying to get to know more spearos in the floridas and georgia area. cant wait to go back in the water and do something i love to do. Also i'm looking for a good gun. if anyone know of a good gun been sold not extremele expensive. please send a PM or post a pic.:)

My approach to RA was that fishermen do not all use just one hook size. You use a big heavy hook for big heavy fish and you use a smaller lighter hook for smaller lighter fish and RA agreed.

:agree1: For Sure. is always good to have different equipment that goes with your type of fishing. but like pargo said. 7.5 is not to bad either. for when those big bad boys come close and get frisky you can go :attack2: and make the weight of the shaft do his thing. I always try to keep a pair of different size for the same reason. But at least RA took that in consideration for you and all spearos..Way to go RA
