Rob Allen is great, so is Mako
I've owned both and prefer Mako, but you can't go wrong with a 110cm RA Tuna or Mako Oceanic Pro.

yeah, i read that online.
also read that the holes sometimes make people feel nauseous because of unequal temperature around the ears
hank (or sdeisen, if you did the same), where did you put the holes in your suit? i'm guessing putting a few different holes around where my ears are would be the best bet?
hmmm might have to poke some holes in my head then. thanks.
Do you have ear holes in the hoods? I burn them in all mine.
Nice pictures. And nice boat.
no. do those help with the suction?
ahh, i can never wear the hood. drives me crazy.
picked it up the suit for real cheap on eBay a year or two ago though so i can't complain
i've got the same suit as you... the hood doesn't bother you?
whenever i put it on it has this weird tendency to get water stuck in my ears and make an uncomfortable pressure around them
the wind is finally starting to die down a bit and now we have this TS about to roll through...
UNBELIEVABLE
Alejandro you definitely want to go to blue springs. Its inside a nice little park 20-30 mins north of Orlando. Its basically a medium sized springhead and run with a very large vertical hole right down the middle. At 60 ft is a sign that warns scuba divers to not die and it veers off. Its perfect for freediving and there is also some camping there. You have to reserve far ahead if you want to camp though. I went years ago and it was really really cool. There are a few others I will find the name of I was interested in visiting soon. But they dont seem as cool for freediving as bluesprings.
thanks reefchief, i'll check out that spring too. from what you're saying it sounds like blue springs would be perfect, although we would have to get the short-notice camping OK'd before going (we're looking to go on the 20th of this month)
thanks again eli.
i think ichetucknee, three sisters, and ginnie springs all sound good (although ginnie seems much pricier than the others).
i'm going to try and see if i can find some of the springs that have some deep holes for diving. if not, i think i might go with ichetucknee.
thanks a lot eli.
are there places to camp along the river at ichetucknee? my cousins and i were planning on bringing a tent and small grill and canoe along the river until the later afternoon then camp on the river for the night.
would that be possible at ichetucknee?
hey guys, my cousins and i are from South Florida and we're interested in taking a weekend to travel up north and dive the springs.
i don't know a ton about the springs but i've heard that ichetucknee is a fun spring to check out.
we'd be interested in spending Saturday and Sunday at whatever spring we choose to go to. we plan on canoeing/kayaking the river and camping on the river for one night. of course, we also want to go somewhere where there is some fun freediving to check out (deep holes up to 60' and manatees would be great).
anyone have any recommendations or suggestions for where we should go or how we should go about planning the weekend?
thanks in advance!
Im actually working on getting my vids even less choppy than that one! I have found that shooting more FPS underwater allows you to manipulae the speed with better results to get smooth video. That video was shot at 60FPS and I'll post another vid in a few minutes that was shot at 120FPS so you can see how much smoother the motion is when slowing it down.
yup, wasn't sure if you used a program to make it even better. i know a little about it (i've done some reading in the last couple months about it) and know about how fps affect how well slow motion editing turns out.
there are programs that make things realllll smooth. check this vid out.
smoothe vid hadline, what did you use to get the slowmotion to not come out choppy?
I'd love to see the Wong and the RA 110. I have a Riffe Euro 110 that I haven't decided if I wanna keep or not yet.
Shoot me a text at 305 904 9764 and I can send you some pics
i've got a 55" Wong that i want to either sell or trade
also have a Rob Allen 90cm and 110cm w/ reel that i would possibly be willing to split up with
how do you guys think viz will be today after the rain we had yesterday?
agree with dan, if i were you i would return it to get the silver at the least.
or you can return it and buy a regular hero 1 and save yourself some money.
selling a few guns. time to clean out the closet.
gun 1: riffe comp 1
Riffe Speargun Competition #1 (Teak, NEARLY NEW!)
gun 2: riffe comp 2x
Riffe Competitor 2x (Perfect condition, teak gun)
gun 3: daryl wong enclosed track florida freeshafter
*the gun does have a small nick towards the nose of the gun. should be an easy fix if it bothers you. i do not think it is necessary to fix, but some people might. Daryl says a quick application of some sawdust and superglue will have it ready to go*
Daryl Wong Enclosed Track Speargun- top quality gun
pics, descriptions, and prices are all in the craigslist ads. i prefer to do a local sale in south florida for the guns.
thanks!
damn, i was with hwd and we definitely saw those same guys. that sucks man.
here's a little vid i made of today.
just getting used to editing film and having some fun putting things together.
Lmao!! I love the Spanish Frank!
Now what do you call a heavy rainstorm?
