Yes, no spearing tarpon.
-
Got out off HWD today from like 5-7. No fish worth shooting but had fun out there anyway. Viz was prob 15-20ft

Really sick pics Frank, that last one with the plane is pretty epic. You must have got a new camera?

Thanks bud. Yep I got a new Olympus TG-2 with the wide-angle lens attachment.

Looks great Frank!

Nice pics. How close were you to the Tarpon?

About 5 feet or so...give or take. There is this one spot where I always get buzzed at by them.
-
Frank you should really start exploring starting a site to sell some of your pictures especially now that you have a new camera. You have a keen eye.

I agree. Figure out a nice tasteful watermark and at least post them up to see if folks have an interest

Photos from the June 29th outing with Judah and Mark off HWD

i've got the same suit as you... the hood doesn't bother you?
whenever i put it on it has this weird tendency to get water stuck in my ears and make an uncomfortable pressure around them
-
Very cool pics Frank.
-
Awesome pics for sure. Your new cam is yearning for clear water.
The guy in the hooded ulusub rashguard is me. any hood does cause some water suction near the ears but it doesnt bother me that much. Since im as ginger as they come i have two choices. hoods or turn into lobster head. I always choose the hood.
-
ahh, i can never wear the hood. drives me crazy.
picked it up the suit for real cheap on eBay a year or two ago though so i can't complain
-
Do you have ear holes in the hoods? I burn them in all mine.
Nice pictures. And nice boat.

no. do those help with the suction?

Yes. If the hood seals over the hole of your ear and air is trapped inside, it compresses as you descend. This is what "sucks" the hood into your ear.
And you can't hear worth a shit without holes. Grouper grunts, the snap, crackle and pop of the reef....:D -
hmmm might have to poke some holes in my head then. thanks.
