Go farther south. It was pretty dirty, even for California standards, and not very fishy at all.

The 3000LD are the least stiff of their fins. The 3000HF was a stiffer version that sold mostly in Europe. The 2000HF is again stiffer than the 3000LD, as well as being a few centimeters shorter. The new Professionals, from what I'm told as I haven't dove them yet, are somewhere between the 3000LD and the 2000HF, and the footpocket is revamped, and is a little stiffer than all the other models.

I shouldn't have given away my secret. I guess I shouldn't tell you that I sing like Neil Diamond either...
I'll keep an eye out for the fins. It'd be cool to see what you've got and how they compare to the Cressis, and might save me some money instead of buying some expensive fins that I don't really need. I'm still mezmerised by Umberto Pelizzari and all the diving he did with Cressi 3000 HF's. i wish I could find a pair of those in my size.

Que tienes de los plasticos? I'd like to see them or know a little bit more about them. I might be able to use a replacement for the Cressis.

Dan, I think we're still gonna grab kayaks and dive Pompano on Saturday, but I'd still love to stop by and say hey either Friday afternoon when we finish at Florid Freedivers or on Saturday after our dive.
-
Nice. I'll talk to my buddy and see what he says. I'd love to come down and see all your toys!
-
That doesn't sound like a bad idea at all. How much farther south from there are you?
-
PS- What are you guys wearing to dive down there these days? I was thinking just rashguard and board shorts. I don't really have anything between that and a 3mm suit.
-
I'll be down probably middle of the day Friday, and we'll probably dive Friday afternoon and Saturday, and drive back Sunday.
Dan, it'd be awesome to meet you. Let me know if you can make it!

Hey guys. I haven't posted in forever, as I've been out of the water since last October, but buddy of mine and I will be diving off kayaks south of the pier next weekend, and it'd be good to see some of you guys out there if you can make it. It'll be my first time in the area, so it'd be nice to have someone to show us around and keep those bull sharks off my ass! :@

Ah, the onld RHP Wong. I wasn't really the biggest fan of the handle placement, but it did treat me nice. And that gun has a shit ton of good karma and mojo on it!

1. I think I'd put the Beuchat Marlin first
2. Beuchat Marlin and Mundial, OMER Cayman(Ergo and regular, which was a close second), OMER T20, Aimrite Venom, RA(Green handle and Vecta), Marc Valentin, Hammerhead, Sea Sniper(not really a pipe gun, but I threw it in there), probably a few more I can't think of.
3. I love the comfort of the soft grip handle, and their guns are always super accurate.
4. I wish they would update their line release system. I hate that on all Beuchat guns, the line release puts upward pressure on the shaft when there's pressure put on the line release, causing the shaft to bow. I know that it corrects itself when the bands are loaded, it's just always irked me.

John, you're my hero.
-
Sorry, I forgot to post. No, it sold over on SB.
-
John, can we see a pic of the cut DiveR's?
-
Oh, trust me, this isn't my first experience with a RHP Wong, just ask John.
-
I love the gun, and really wish it was a good idea to keep it, but I'm really starting to believe that shooting the same gun just in different sizes is a good idea. I've always shot euros, and it's what I'm comfortable with.
-
I know some of you guys aren't the biggest Wong fans, but I'm taking John and Dan's advice and rounding out my collection to all the same guns, so my Wong has to find a new home.
55" Rear Handle Plus Magnum, Aimrite reel, carbon tube, 2 shafts, 9/32" flopper and 5/16" threaded with Aimrite slip tip. Gun is in great shape, as it hasn't seen much use. Pics of it here, http://spearboard.com/showthread.php?t=39290. I talked to Daryl and he said he'd redo the camo and move the handle to mid handle for about $100.
So i'm looking for $525 shipped to get back what I paid, or it's yours if you buy me an Aimrite Venom Pro Comp 100 with a reel and line straight from the Bettuas. Let me know if anyone's interested.

Oh, I'd be super stoked for 20-30 foot viz. I could hunt that all day.
