    Welcome.

    North of Golden Gate Bridge?

    A Hot Water Bottle?

    But seriously - good luck.

We ave some cold water members here that could help.

Oscar here is an article I found that answers your question better than my brief description.

    Ni How Rookie.

I found this rather interesting. Warm wate, great Viz, decent structure (Green Island Video) but wow so little sea life. The comparison to Japan was interesting. I made several winter scuba recreational dives in Japan (in a snow storm twice with dry suit) and was very impressed by the sea life, water clarity, structure, etc.

I'm guessing you might have better luck finding pelagic fish than reef game fish. Sure looked devoid of sea life.

Xie Xie - does satisfy my curiosity. I spent a lot of time in the PRC and some of it along the coast and always wanted to dive to see what it was like but never had the opportunity.

Please do - would love to see what it looks like (reefs/structure/bottom).

    Ok,guys,
    Ask her if rollers are effective! <img src= " class="smiley" srcset="https://spearfishing.world/forum/images/smilies/emojione/1f606@2x.png 2x" height="23" width="23" loading="eager" data-tooltip="biggrin" aria-label="biggrin">

    What roller speargun?

Soooooooooo nice, at my age only one (her) is necessary - 2 would be the end but oh what a way to go :thumbup:8):)

I second that, but thinking about it Marco I have a standard 4 band Bluewater gun, to get the range I want I have been loading all the bands on the last tab. This is inconvenient and not great for band lay up... but because it is a Koah each band has its own slot, this could be my solution! I am going to try this (with dynem wishbone yokes though) in the first slot (weakest band) and I am hoping this then allows me to get the power I want while setting the other bands on different fins.

George Imay be color blind and a bit dumb BUT in your Blue Water Koah couldn't you cut and tie each band to a shorter and shorter length and use different colored wishbones to color code which tab to load each band? I'm sure you could find a couple variations of pink wish bone spectra <img src= " class="smiley" srcset="https://spearfishing.world/forum/images/smilies/emojione/1f606@2x.png 2x" height="23" width="23" loading="eager" data-tooltip="biggrin" aria-label="biggrin">

    PS check your pm

Welcome. I lived in Seattle but found the water too cold for a tropical born and raised spearo - sorry I didn't get in the waters of Puget Sound. Beautiful place to live and apparently to dive. Welcome :)

Looking to hunt wahoo tomorrow so went on reef dive looking for barracuda for chum, even though the water had 5 foot visibility! [emoji22] Missed two decent barracuda because of the unbelievably bad vis but I persevered. The spot is only 35 foot deep but in 5ft vis it seems to take forever to reach the bottom, and once there giant tarpon suddenly brushing up on you really exercises the butt hole muscles [emoji1], not to mention killing bottom time! Speaking of bottom time for last few months I have been struggling, averaging 45 seconds where the average used to be 1:30 [emoji20]... anyway, today it all came back! 1:30 average and a solid 2min bottom time landing that 12lb mutton in 35, can't tell you the relief that my slump is over! Stoned both the fish I shot, so all round happy hour in the water. JC that same gun buddy [emoji6]

Like Hank said - That is a sweet Mutton. Well done. Those big tarpon scare the shit out of me in murky water.

What speargun did you use that didn't push the shaft through mom at close range?

    Good luck TODAY on Hoo's.

Welcome and good luck with your pain/bloodied issue. Certainly don't want to push it. Good luck finding equipment you need in Taiwan.

I am curios as to the environment you dive in - how is the water in regards to clarity and temperatures and the quality of coral reefs. Again welcome and good luck finding equipment.

    Dan,

How do you tie in the wishbone in your new bands? And what's the max stretch ratio you can cut them to?

I like the concept very much. Smaller bands, more power.

I am pretty sure Dan was kidding!

I also have some great video of paint drying to share [emoji1]

    I plan to come down to Antigua and put George & Diesel together to arm wrestle then to watch grass grow. <img src= " class="smiley" srcset="https://spearfishing.world/forum/images/smilies/emojione/1f606@2x.png 2x" height="23" width="23" loading="eager" data-tooltip="biggrin" aria-label="biggrin"> <img src= " class="smiley" srcset="https://spearfishing.world/forum/images/smilies/emojione/1f606@2x.png 2x" height="23" width="23" loading="eager" data-tooltip="biggrin" aria-label="biggrin">

Then I will conduct a two day course on what constitutes a healthy reef, all the different elements, both plant & animal, and the complexity of how all elements need to be in balance and harmony with each other and the respect we humans need to show by placement of anchors, keeping our paws off of it, ans a recap of global weather change :thumbup:8)

    If that doesn't work I can be George's second in a dual. :@ <img src= " height="23" srcset="https://spearfishing.world/forum/images/smilies/emojione/1f606@2x.png 2x">
