Saw this post, I appreciate the info.
I am heading to Grand Cayman next week. I am staying on the seven mile beach where apparently you can shoredive to the north wall? doesn't necessarily mean much to me yet.
Your post is about all the info i have on it. The trip is mainly for partying but definitely bringing my mask and fins.
Anybody else have any info on diving or charters that are friendly to our sport, please let me know. Thanks.

Dan,
It looks like you have the GoPro 2. Based on the description it has multiple fields of view. Have you had a chance to play around with this yet? I would be curious to know what the 127' FOV looks like. Also do you notice any improvement in the quality of the video?
Thanks.

Hey buddy, you have another kid on the way?...congrats.
I feel you, i am ready to get over there. been trying for the past couple weeks but it just has not come together, plus been busy at work and wx has been lousy so not hurting too bad. I can tell when i am rdy to head back overthere because i actually enjoy sitting down and looking and editing the prior trips footage. Yeah it was a solid 50'.
I think i am flying to spanish next weekend, but on a little puddle jumper, so its probably just me and another guy.
I def want to put a few wahoo trips together as well. Especially with wx and seas in the winter flying to spanish makes it easy and just running out front and fishing the 400' ledge. I will let you know as well.

I think the shaft went so far through him that he just slipped through the other end. The other diver played clean up and hit him on the next dive, but was not able to bring him to the service. On the second dive in the video you see him laying on the ground with the shaft when i hit the larger male hog.

Hey:
Any of you gents have a set of women's size 6 fins and mask in Stuart/Jupiter that I can borrow for labor day? (no not for me to use)
I have a set but it is not accessible at the moment so i hate having to buy a new set for one time use.
worth some fresh fish when i get back.
Thanks in advance, Jason.

Does the red lens start making a difference at only deeper depths?...like 80 plus? (we are talking about greekdiver here)

you are right. great shots. is it because of that beautiful gun? ha, jk.
really enjoy your videos. thanks.

welcome
i have a 130 mako in stuart that has been in the water twice if you are interested.

Thanks for the suggestion, but with living in orlando, miami seems more of a hassle than it is worth.
The diving was a bit slower in spanish last trip, still managed to put fish in the boat, but no big hogs or grouper to share.
However, nippers on the sunday before the 4th made up for it.

Hey, welcome. My parents live in stuart, i have done a little blue water stuff out of SLI, but no diving the reefs.
I would be interested in getting together sometime.

my man that is some incredible diving. So that grouper rocked up on you at 95 feet..and you had to work on getting him free...unreal.

big sharks...sweet video

greekdiver, the 30+ pounders are plentiful, especially a little deeper (50+) where most weekend warriors are not hunting. my buddies got a 60 lber last weekend in 60'. I see some blacks in 15' that make my heart skip but for the most part they keep cruising and the effort to keep up is not worth it, current and everything else considered.
In the deeper stuff, I find if I can come down right over them i have a chance to put a shaft in them, but with the hawaiin sling I have not been able to keep the shaft in them.
hill raiser does a good job with blacks. I do not see many people over there coming back to the docks with good size blacks...I think a lot of people pass on the effort it takes, especially with the hogs being plentiful and curious.

thanks...big fish and great conditions make it easy (easier).
