Aaron,
thanks for checking the glue. -

I'll be doing the deep stuff in Oct but back here in Nov. -
Hahah. This us hilarious. Be careful Carla. The dog trains in a weight vest:)
yeah- I only train with a 5lb neckweight- think I need to up the poundage !!put a duck in the water and that dog will run me over to get to it. I think I am in big trouble!

I'll be at the 24hr on 19th at noon for my regular apnea sets.We will start statics at 1pm if you want to come by. Bring a wetsuit top ( you get cold with the low heart rate) and a mask/goggles.
-
I spent today "watching" the junior swim champs at the Aquatic Center.
tomorrow we are training statics at the CM pool if any of you want to come out and have some serious contractions and horrible pain- it is big fun- NOT! You can brag to your buddies after though- I'll teach you how to have a 5 min breath hold. -
Leave Dan out of this..... this is between Carla and the water dog in my avatar.:D:D
so we need 4 more.Cheers, Don

did you guys see this article this morning?
http://www.petethomasoutdoors.…wing-off-california-.html
I like the line at the end. Good news for fisherman - fewer sea lions. bad news for surfers, swimmers, and DIVERS. Actually, it is good news for a healthier ocean with more fish for us, keeping those gill-netters out!
-
wonderful photos Paul. I love turtles. I hope we can save them from extinction ( all species are on the endangered list).

if you are practicing in the ocean or pool- remember to always have a buddy. statics( breath hold without moving) can be very dangerous, You can proactice "dry statics" at home sitting down. Here is a link to some static tables you can do
http://www.impulseadventure.co…bl_mozzi/apnea/tablea.htmwhen you are diving, work on staying relaxed and moving and kicking slowly. You will be more efficient and burn less oxygen and also not scare the fish away!
send me a message if you interested in freedive apnea training techniques.

what's up with the water temp. this year? It's supposed to be El Nino and it's cold and dreary! I have a hard time getting inspired but am going to try out my new 5mm next week after I get over this crummy cold.

thanks Don- I have a lot of new protege's and it's been very rewarding---- and----- I remember
Here are some nice freediver girls - I'm sun protected after a tough competition dive. The other girls are Maggie ( Mrs. Eric Fattah), Linden, the famous mermaid form ABC 20/20, Carolina, the SouthAmerican Champion, and Adriana from Venezuela. We are at Dean's Blue Hole( 655ft. deep).
