Marco- all the photos I have, I am in a wetsuit - and I get all these wetsuit fetish/latex weirdos making comments on FB-- I'll have to get a gun/bikini shot done!

I'll have her make a MAN KINI for you Don! :@ You will be real popular in Laguna--if you catch my drift.:imgay:
Ha Ha Don! ok . this is a prototype. Jill wants to know if we would buy it. I would. I requested no ties on the sides so it doesn't bunch under the wetsuit.
Lo Martin- I think she will make good sizes- the wetsuits come xxs but I'll put a word in for the petites!
yeah it's Jill
new cryptic bikini--the only problem is the water is freezing so I'd have to cover up the design with a 5mm
also for the new divers out there ; remember to pull out the top edge of your hood( along the hairline) over the upper skirt of the mask or it will leak. Sounds obvious but sometimes we forget these little things.:)
:thumbsup2: Nice post Paul, that was a great way to start the morning off. Where do a find a lady like that? :cool2:
Spearfishing Girls on FaceBook- that's where you find 'em!
:welcome2:
here is a group who dives at Hounaunau. they also spearfish.
http://freediveparadise.com/
I was hoping to go on this trip with the team and got bumped since the 'big boys" filled the boat. Limited room and I was outclassed ! Cam just posted a pic of Mark Healey with a 44lb WSB-- These guys are awesome!
where in Hawaii do you live? maybe I can recommend some dive buddies
ok . don't blast me for this -- some people may be interested ;). He does have an amazing lung capacity and he is a good spearfisherman and a nice guy.
great post Dan. thanks:snorkel1:
Don, I think I must not have been clear in my origianl post...I have nothing against pure freedivers and Iimagine many of them are incredible peple with amazing stories and attitutdes...I was trying to say that spearfishing has a reputation and a stigma and pure freediving does not, as far as i know.
I think the idea of simply enjoying the ocean in any way is pretty much ideal
Most people think freedivers are crazy or have killed too many braincells from breath holds and black outs.:@ When I am in the pool training; I get a lot of people noticing what I am doing and then asking "why?"
We have a stigma,too-- just for a different reason. And many freedivers are spearfisherman, too .Some of us started out that way then decided to see how far we could push our limits. It becomes an over-powering urge to go deeper and test your body - it's an incredible rush !:D
I urge any of you to give it a try sometime-- in a safe situation only- of course! We need more USA divers on the team and you already have a head start.
first of all, this makes what you left coasters do, that much more impressive....and i was already impressed
second, do you think this percentage is because of the cvis in general or because you are primarily targeting halis who chill in the surgey areas where it is all stirred up?
there is a lot of plankton, sea snow, microorganisms, etc brought in with the summer current and warmer water. This stuff is great for the baleen whales and other fish who eat it but limits the viz. We also get algae blooms ( like red tide) triggered by a combination of nitrogen runoff and warmer water. Catalina stays clearer because of the current pattern and limited population polluting the water.
We don't primarily target halibut in the summer. White sea bass, yellowtail, albacore, dorado, tuna, and other pelagics are the prime candidates - lurkers under kelp pattties.
Halibut and calico bass are here year round and accessible from shore dives and easier to spot in bad viz conditions.
they went out of DanaPoint this am and just cruised along the coast
it gets even worse-- he limited out! DAMN!!
and look at this great weather here in" sunny" Cal. water temp 58 and viz about 5 ft.lol
just gets here and goes this morning and shoots his first WSB ever within a couple hours .
what is it with Cam?
nice, congrats
