Some of the fish that I was fortunate enough to catch on film this year. I hope you enjoy.

Went out a while back with a couple SB guys and tried my hand at some YT. The yellows were hard to come by that day do I found myself doing what I love to do most. I started hunting calico bass.

Well done dude. I love me some bluefin!

Very cool video. Just out of curiosity do you remember seeing its tongue? I read somewhere that some orcas like to pray on whales but once they subdue the beast they only eat the tongue.....
Never saw a tongue, but didn't really look for it.

Were you able to get the smell out of the wetsuit? Neat video.
That wasn't me climbing on it. I did all the videos though. I would imagine the smell stayed in my buddies suit for some time however.
I don't know why there weren't sharks on it. I figured there should be.

Thanks guys. I normally would'nt spend that long with one of these seals either, but I have been blessed with plenty of fish and the opportunity to dive frequently. I have just been able to let my worries go of seeing a massive yellowtail or seabass while hunting with my small gun or camera. I'm trying to appreciate more of what the ocean has to offer than simply hunting all the time. While I have been hunting lately I haven't cared a lot if I land that big fish and in turn have enjoyed it a great deal more I think.

that video is simply amazing...you really were just another marine mammal out there...AWESOME.
damn thing is just too cute.
thank you very much for sharing that amazing experience
I'm really glad you liked it so much! My only problem was figuring out which video clips I wanted to use. I seriously have about 25 clips of this guy and didn't want to make this video too long that nobody would finish watching it. :rolleyes1:

Went out recently on a beach dive while the family played on the beach. I was targeting halibut but my fins kept getting stuck on kelp and eel grass:confused: I finally ended up turning around and finding out that it was this curious little harbor seal. I aborted my hunt for halibut and unloaded my gun with slings on the shoulder. I ended up playing with this guy for an hour and he followed me back in to shore. I would have played longer, but my wife and kid were waiting for me. In the end of the video he gives me a hug when I layed my hand on his belly. I REALLY wish the camera angle would have been better for it, but you get the idea.
I should add that I left the water this day feeling better about my dive than most others I've experienced. Great time just relaxing and not focusing on killing something. Sometimes it's great to just enjoy what the ocean has to offer.

Am I missing something? The Coronados? I googled it and it was in Afghanastan right?

I can't figure out how to put pic's on here. I'm a bit technology challenged. Help?
Should be able to "manage attachments" just like on SB. Awesome report BTW

Nice shot, water seemed clear, what was the visibility?
Viz was 40 ft there. A small boat ride away it was 5 to 10 ft in many spots and worse in others. It was absolutely beautiful at this spot.

Went out yesterday to find some epic viz at one spot and less than good at most others. PV, that is. I devoted hours just to hunting halibut, but only saw two and blew it. While the two halibut I saw looked to be 10 lbs and the other 15 to 20 I was right on top of them in shitty viz when they exploded. Oh well, it's quite nice just seeing them.
I took one calico that I was just dropping down to film as I saw it 20ft down from the surface, great viz! When I got closer I just couldn't resist squeezing the trigger after holding off all day on lots of other nice bass. With camera in hand I stoned it and it never even knew what hit him. Bass went a hair under 4lbs. Shoulders on this guy!
