Picked up a black Speardiver wetsuit from Dan a few weeks back, I am 5'10" 180 and the size L fit nicely. Got suit in 3mm and look forward to using it once this weather dies down

Was working at port everglades today and surf was a good 4-6ft

I don't like the combination of alluminum and Stainless steel. There will be electrolisis betwen both materials and the reel will eventually jam.
Haven't tried a Mako, but that happened with the Jomers.
Never thought about, thanks for the tip

Anyone use the mako aluminum reels? Looking for a reel for my RA and saw there reels are nicely priced for being aluminum and spooled with line

Looks great Dan, you need to help me build a tuna gun

looks like a nice fix...I know that Dan used truck bed liner with some success as well.
please do give us an update with a long term evaluation
will do :thumbsup2:

Just thought id pass along this little useful trip I picked up today that can be applied to our sport. One of my pet peeves is having a weight belt sliding on the non skid finish of the boat and leaving lead marks, also the clanking noise when placed to close to each other on a belt (non coated weights) so I picked up a can of Plasti Dip at Home depot and brushed on 2 coats, voila dont have to pay the price for coated weights! this would also be great for slippery handles with a little sand thrown in.

I think I understand. What you're saying is that instead of tendon rails glued onto the blade, the blade has tendon rail incorporated, like the plastic fin blades. I'd be interested to see a pic of that.
Ask and you shall receive, IMO great idea but poorly executed. I noticed their new blades have a rubber tendon instead of the molded one like these.
-
by the tendon do yoou mean the strips for channeling water?
No I mean where the foot pocket attaches to the blade, I've noticed most blades like Dans are a flat piece of carbon with a small tendon attached that slides into the footpockets slot, the C4 have a tendon molded out of CF on the actual blade
-
If you guys need some SeaDek I Have some scraps from my boat
-
Side note, my C4 falcon blades have the tendon molded onto the actual blade, it is not a separate tendon glued onto the blade, they are a bit smaller then most tendon slots though.

Just wanted to know if there is a certain technique when inserting and setting the fins into the pockets.? Do you use 5200 or is there another type of adhesive seal that is preffered..? Thanks in advance..
Danny from MiamiI used loctite ultra and it's held up

After reading on here and realizing the vinyl tubing works, but retains moisture and doesn't let the line swivel freely I cut a peice of SeaDek and stuck it on the tube, now changing lines is much quicker and looks alot cleaner.
