i was wondering if anyone has had any experience with H. Dessault foot pockets. comfortabiltiy, durability, etc. would it be hard to find blades that might fit it down the line if i ever need or want to swap? also has anyone ever owned a pair of mako brand fins or had any experience using them?

I doubt you'll get other reviews, these footpockets are new on the market. They do accept all standard blades the same way omer footpockets do. I don't know anything about Mako blades.

I have been using HD footpockets for many years. As for durability, my older ones are 9 years old with no visible signs of tear o wear. They adapt to any interchangeable blade in the Market.
I don´t know if the new ones are different, but the old ones were the best for me until I bought my C4 Mustangs. The ones posted by Dan look just like the ones I have. Far better than the Omers. -
Marco,
were yours Sporasub or only H. Dessault? You bought them in Europe? -
Sporasub H Dessault. "Made in Itay"

Sporasub H Dessault were my first footpockets about 9 years ago, they were very hard. Maybe later production Sporasub H Dessault footpockets were improved. At some point there was a split between Sporasub and H Dessault as far as putting the H Dessault name on Sporasub products, and today H Dessault is an independent company making their own footpockets. Sporasub is now owned by omer and the only thing close to a footpocket they have is the bicycle shoe. While the H Dessault footpockets are modeled after the old Sporasub footpockets there's no comparison, the H Dessault are better than anything I've seen from Sporasub whether labeled "Sporasub H Dessault" or simply "Sporasub".
I can't believe I had the patience to write that.

whats the deal with the bicycle shoe, it looks like it would work right

Buy it and be the first to review it here. It only goes with a plastic blade.
