Speardiver weight vest

  • Thanks Don sounds exactly like what I thought it would do, I would like to try one out as well.

Just remember to take it off before you pull your top over your head. I didn't the first time I used it in the sea, and it was quite amusing after I found the vest in the inside out top.:laughing3:

Then later in the day I was looking around the boat for it only to look down and and realize I had it on.
    Cheers, Don

  • The vests will sell for $60 and I'll have them in stock in about two weeks. Available colors are black, green camo, and brown camo.

I know the vests fit tight on the larger guys. The next batch will include a larger size.

That's funny Don. Did the same when i first started using a vest. One thing to keep in mind is that your snorkel will ride lower in the water with additional weight on the vest. I think I use eight lbs with my 5mm suit.

  • I have found it also makes a great place to stow a cell, folder knife, and cliff bars on mountain bike rides and hikes. Just remember to take the stuff out before going back in the water. I'm going to make sheep wool accessory pads for my trout flies to use during the off season.

When I'm diving 105 miles offshore at Cortez and Tanner Bank I plan on stowing my survival mirror, green dye, and strobe in two of the unused pockets. I have this gear on my life guard float, but one time a big yellow swam up current with it and I realized I would've been screwed if the live boat didn't spot me in the big seas. Just another use for a great product.

  • Really good idea Don :thumbsup5: I'm going to suggest this option on the product page. A lot of people need a place to stash a car key.

If it's not brass, add the heavy duty mini zip lock pouch.;) There is also a credit card type key made of plastic.

  • Brilliant idea!!! I was on the fence but this will be my next gear purchase

I even like using mine in the pool with light weight. ( and a buddy or GF spotting)
Last year I would sink in fresh water but this year I have been using a salt water pool and have been buoyant, but some of that is due to leaving my ''winter coat'' on.:D

I believe your going like the vest mate.
    Cheers, Don
