I tried searching but didn't find anything. I have a hogfish I froze a couple weeks ago that had worms in it. I've heard of it in grouper too but have never seen it in my own fish. Can I eat the fish? Do the worms cook out?

Are the worms all over the place? Can you fillet around them? I've never seen a hogfish with worms.

All throughout the meat, I've never even heard of hogfish with worms.

Cook it up and let us know how it eats. Since no one seems to have tried it think of it as taking one for the team

You'll be fine. I've never seen it in hogfish but but it is common in other species. You wouldn't even know they were there unless you see them or someone told you.

I wouldn't eat it....I just would be too freaked out.

Take them out and prepare the fish Italian style "Pesce con linguini". the worms will be the linguini.
Seriously. I have never seen worms on hogs. As far as I know, once you've frozen and cooked it, there is no risk to your health.

They die in the cooking process. Just more protein:D

I cooked up my last lobster in some pasta tonight, gotta polish off my last 4-5 pounds of mahi and then I'll tackle the hogfish, i'll let everyone know if I become deathly ill or have any other side effects
