The "carbon" is not carbon. But it still is a nice small euro gun.
I have it in 115cm and do not like it. It is not woven carbon like the expensive carbon guns. It is chopped carbon fiber in polymer matrix. The 115 flexes visibly when loaded, the deflection depends on the band load but even 1 band will flex it. Accuracy is horrible, I use mines a backup gun with a 18mm band and a 6.5mm shaft for shooting holed up fish or putting another point blank shot in a wounded fish.
I have heard good reviews from the shorter version though.
It hasnt arrived yet,but ive ordered the mares strike 115 off amazon for 252usd.
been looking to get my own gun(as I've used only other people's old guns)for about a year,my problem was all the pipe guns that had recommendations were ranging upwards of 500 if you wanted a reel on them.stummbled onto the strike and was blown away at the product package for it's price.

Speardiver RTX 120cm, best production speargun in the world, with titanium reel and line $435. I'll take a band gun over a pneumatic any day for its ease of use/maintenance and reliability.
Definitely something to consider when I look for an upgrade or replacement gun.
Still can't give honest opinion about the mares strike(as it hasnt arrived yet) but I think if it delivers on what it promises it could arguably be the best beginner/intermediate option for those keen to hunt but on a tight budget.at least the best I've found.🤷🏻♂️
finally got a good day for diving today so decided on an after-work shore dive with the new gun.
Honestly love it.
Shoots really intuitively,feels like a ray gun compared to the previous gun I was using.
Shot a nice little mackerel in the end though.
