Where is Toledo?

  • I'm glad you asked as its been bothering me and I've been wanting to talk about it. Yesterday I posted on his fish ID thread, I made a joke and put a link that was supposedly going to a picture of a guaseta but actually went to a porn clip which I thought was pretty funny. I further said that it wasn't a guaseta but a cherna. Let me be judged fairly so here's the porn clip. I will edit this post and remove it tonight. Just make sure no one that can't handle it is near the computer when you click on it. Also it's kinda hard to get it to stop playing if you're don't have a little computer savvy. Just go to the task manager and kill the process for whichever browser you're using. If you don't know how to do that I guess you'll have to restart your computer.

Apparently when Ray clicked on it his 9 year old son was beside him and saw it which created a problem at home. Subsequently Ray said he will not be coming back and asked me to remove his account which I did. I spoke to him through email after that. I apologized and he explained why in his particular situation that was not acceptable. I hope that he changes his mind and comes back.

Consequently I've thought about what should be allowed in the forum and what shouldn't. I'm not above the law here so whatever applies to everybody applies to me too. But for that to happen some guidelines must be set. We have a bikini section which some guys like and my policy there has been that everything is fine except for the chocha being visible. But that was for pics that are seen directly on this site. I had no rule in mind for no links to porn. For example a couple of months back I posted a link to the clip of Fidel Castro's ex daughter in law, the one that smuggled the videotapes of his household to the US, who went into internet porn. The cuban guys here didn't mind at all. This may be a good time to get your opinions on this issue.

  • I have three children of my own, and have to be mindful of what I browse while they are about. My boys, in particular, will always stop to look over my shoulder when they catch me on a spearfishing site. :D

That said, I recognize that other people's situations and preferences are different. It is certainly not fair to impose my standards on them just because I have kids, and I want them to enjoy the site as fully as I do. My preference would be to allow as much content as possible. But it would help me a lot if people could somehow label any questionable content, links, or thread titles as such (NSFW, or Not Suitable For Children, or whatever), so that I can exercise my best judgement before I open it. Things that show up unexpectedly in an unrelated thread will always be a problem, I guess, but not worth causing a rucus over.

  • Yes, what I feel most guilty about is that it was unexpected/a trap so to speak but that was sort of the point of the joke. The solution may be as simple as identifying content that may be offensive to somebody as such and keeping it in an appropriate thread. The thing is I'm never compelled to post something like that on its own worth.

  • That link was heavy! I already sent it to some friends. But they know what to expect (hopefully):rolleyes1:...

Fortunately, my computer is not accessible to my kids....

In my town they call you (and probably me) "hijoeputa" :laughing3:

    It's sad he left us...

A bad day fishing is ALWAYS better than a good day at work.

  • Were you laughing as hard as me after you got over the initial shock? Now you're relishing the thought of your friends seeing it.. :laughing3: It was sent to me by a friend too, hijo de puta! :D

Yes it's sad he left but hopefully he'll come back.

I laughed...which disturbed me even more than the scene being played out.:laughing3:

  • Regardless...the mere fact that I was falling out of my chair laughing while THAT transpired in front of me made me go exercise flogging upon myself. With 'nine-tailed extension cord'.

I'd love to hear all about it and maybe offer some of my experience although I don't have direct experience with hunting dogs. If you like please start a thread on it in the other things we like to do section. I've been thinking of making a section just for dog stuff. Actually I've been thinking about starting a dog forum as most of the ones out there suck. If you think flaming can get bad and people talk out of their ass on spearfishing forums you'll be amazed to see how much worse dog forums are. In the more prominent ones to cut down on that they instituted a rule where your user name must be your real name. Bill McIntyre would be in heaven.

That'd be sweet. Hunting dogs , too ? Or just protection dogs ?

  • All working dogs; hunting, herding, guard, police service dogs etc. A section can be further divided into subsections like hunting could have retrievers, pointers, catch dogs etc. or by the type of animal being hunted birds, pigs etc. There's a lot of overlap and one group of working dog people definitely can learn from another even it the work is different.
