Anybody heard the term escape artist before pertaining to a dog? If you didn't this refers to a dog that will go to great lengths to escape from a kennel, crate or anywhere else you want it to stay. Some of these dogs escape from places that you are left breaking your head thinking how he did it in order to fix it so it won't happen again. This particular dog, looks like a beagle, takes the cake. I've heard about beagles escaping but never imagined that this kind of dexterity is possible in a dog. It's great that it was caught on video. Monster Slayer sent it to me.

This dog is a friggin´genius hahahaha. And the owner thought his dogs were secure there

I had somebody forward this to me at work as a e-mail . Pretty funny.

My dog figured out how to open regular door pretty fast. He would keep going into my bedroom while I wasn't home, and just chill in my bed all day. Then I changed the handle from a regular rectangular one to one of the those slippery round knobs. It took him a bit longer, but he figured that one out also. Now I put a little hook about 6 feet from the ground and leave the door cracked open. I'd like to see him figured that out...
-
Yeah the old style handles are much easier, they figure it out by accident just jumping on it. Then that gives them the idea to keep trying with the round handles. How does he do it, have you seen him? Lets see a pic of your dog.
-
Ok, but only if you won't make fun of him because he is overweight!
-
Here you go, he'll be four next month...
-
Caught me off guard, I should've known it was going to be a stylish pic coming from you. Cool dog, looks like a collie and Australian shepherd cross.
-
Sorry, I only had glamour shots at the office.
He's a 100% Australian shepherd of the red-tri variation. Here are some pics that give you a better view of him. He loves to get some "air"
-
Now I see. You know the name of the breed threw me off for a long time. Then I found out it's a breed developed in the US, nothing to do with Australia really.
-
Yeah, very deceptive name. Great dogs. Very loyal and energetic and loves the ocean also. The very similar to border collies, but w/o tail and long coat. Although in Europe they all have their tails as docking of tails isn't allowed in many places I believe...
-
True, tail docking is not allowed in many European countries and so is ear cropping. Some breeds are not so affected. For example your dog and mine still look pretty good with a tail. Never mind that your dog may be the only breed that sometimes has a naturally bobbed tail. A Doberman however looks like shit with natural ears and tail which is a damn shame.

Nice...:nono::)

I was waiting for you to catch that.
I figured as much... I like my dogs who are so fat they need a Segway to find birds.:D

That was taken during my descent from the summit of Mount Fuji...
