Wong Magnum Hybrid?

  • Hey anyone own a wong hybrid magnum? I'm ordering one. Any suggestions? I was thinking 5/16 shafts with a 7.5 for wahoo or kings. Any dislikes with the gun? I dont want to shoot a tree trunk gun and I want a gun that can track yet still kill a 200+.

My 120 riffe just wont cut it for truw blue water and I cant find a used gun that i like.

    Thanks

  • I have owned the 60" and 63", what are you shooting now. I feel they get a little nose heavy after 55-57" and would prefer his Ono gun personally but if you are already shooting a big mid-handle you might love it.

  • I have a 60 inch 3 band and a 63 inch 4 band and have been using them for years. Great guns and have taken many huge fish with each using a 5/16 shaft slip tip or flopper. No negatives or suggestions to make these guns better. They shoot great right out of the box.:thumbsup2:

  • They are great guns, but I love my 55 GR the best of the ones I have shot! I think a 60 GR that shots a 9/32 would be great!

  • I wish I knew what "GR" stood for. ;);)

  • I have a 60 mag and I love it. I previously owned some of ´em but I used to overpowered them with no success, I have owned 4 Wong guns. The 60" mag is the one i liked the best. Use it with either a 9/32 x 2 5/8s bands or a 5/16 shaft and 3 9/16 bands. Use a 65" shaft by the way.
