    At times I thought the writer was a pussy, but after the eloquent interview with William I got used to his novice perceptive of the sport. By the time i read the last closing comments I was feeling more connected, in total, I feel, even with the sensationalistic tone the piece was well written.


    The don't quite understand the comment about Competitive Free diving being a new sport.....what was that war between Mayol and Enzo in 1966.:rolleyes1:

    Aida is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. New compared to some sports, I suppose. Little known ,may be a better term. The author was obviously trying to make the article exciting but I must say that the poor guy witnessed some really gruesome stuff and he vomited when he saw the amount of blood Dave King was coughing up. Dave was dead ,literally, when they pulled him to the surface and it took 15 min to revive him. He had a massive chest squeeze from a dive he had no business attempting.

    Thanks for the update girl, wishing you guys safer Comp's this year, sounds like this one was from hell.
