Need boat ladder advice

    Hey guys,
    I need advice on what boat ladder to buy and were I could install it, my boat has a weird looking stern. It will be strictly for free diving spearing.
    This is how the back of the boat looks like. Any advice is appreciated.

    That's a tough question..idk about drilling the hull so a swim step seems out... some kinda ladder drilled on the inside and folds up and over the back would seem ideal..I haven't seen one persay just what I imagine would work best.

    you could buy a platform like I have on my boat, it should work on the back of yours (I think I found mine on ebay for $50). OR what I would do is get a piece of starboard and make it fit the shape off to the side of your outboard. then you could attach it using stainless angle. The ladder I have is the easiest I've used but it required some fabrication to make it work. The generic folding ladder is simplest to mount but not as user friendly for boarding.



    Whatever you decide for the platform I think I have the step from mine that I'll give you if it will help.

    ^ Thats the type of ladder I recommend they are by far the best I've used however without a platform it can get a little difficult climbing straight from the top step over the transom. Brian I included a link/pic that shows what I would try to do with starboard and a good ladder.


    P.S. look on craigslist and ebay I got everything for my setup there for like $100-120 total

    Now I see what Mike ment by not having a platform. How hard would it be to climb up how Wishihadgills picture is installed?

    Up and over the side. I've had my boat for 3 years, and I have yet to use my ladder. Although the platform is good when you got to pee. :D

    Just hang it in the pocket of a LONG FIN and lay it up on the gunnel tilting down.....works for me at the anchorage. Just pee in some Else's fin.;):toast::toast:
