Best speargun bag

  • I have the Riffe large spearbag, it´s a nice sturdy bag, black and sharp looking, the zippers are great and the inner bags and padding are great. It´s a bit narrow though, a couple of spearguns and small gear tops. I have also the older armor speargun bag which is great, you can store lots of gear on it, the outer bags are great to store small stuff too, but it lacks padding somehow. After spending a lot of money and time finally i got the perfect speargun bag: its a Dakine snowboard (maybe ski) bag of 180cms (76") Best spearfishing bag ever, you may accomodate 4 spearguns plus insane amounts of gear on it, at half the price of the large Riffe speargun case.

  • BTW I was warned against Riffe bags and told that the zippers rust. I had a new Armor bag and it was very nice, but I didn't use it so I sold it. If I need it the next one will be a snowboard bag. For air travel maybe one of those hard plastic cases (SporTube).

  • That´s Riffe biggest downside as a company. They offer top quality stuff, but the mark up for stamping their logo in the gear is insane... Riffe spearguns are still great, they could be a bit more affordable though.

  • Bagdepot sell padded snowboard bags for under $20. I have one and u can probably fit 2-3 peoples stuff in there including suits, fins, and all.

How do they hold up in the ocean environment?

Great, same material as riffe´s speargun bag. Lona (cordura) or something of that kind, the zippers look really tough as well. In fact it has some "aluminium foil" like lining from the inside, just as the armors bag do.
