The fighting dogs gameness, should be maintained at any cost though. Gameness is a genetic treasure. There´s no breed, nor animal that would fight to death but the pit bull.
Do you think gameness could be bred for from scratch if it were to disappear?
Dog breeders have the know how, somehow. I think it´s like aiming your speargun at a fish, you don´t need to actually kill him to know you would... It´s like saying " i can´t explain what´s a beautiful girl, but i can tell when i see one" ...:D
Well you gotta start with something that's already out there. I wonder what the dogs they first used were like.
I've never seen the dogs get stuck by a hog, but I know it's happened. But they're bred to be hunting dogs, Catahoulas were first bred in Louisiana as working/hunting dogs and they absolutely love it.
