Nobody eats goat fish down South in the Caribbean... what do you guys do with it?
Goatfish are delicious table fare. They fillet easily and are also really good whole, baked or fried.
Very delicate white meat

eat it of course
Scored again today bigtime.
me n nate yakked outta miami, stopped to look for bugs and came up empty. went out to 45-50 feet, ended up coming in shallower to 30-20 feet. Pulled 3 hogs, 2 triggers, a yellow jack and a mangrove. also landed 2 lunkers.... delta lewmar anchor with 20 feet of chain and another anchor with 10 feet of chain. swam em up from 40 feet, nate did alot of the work but it was a team effort hoisting the big one into the yak.
viz was snotty 10-15 feet but we found some new structure to work over. looks like its gonna be lousy for the weekend.
Good job dude. Sucks about this weekend
Dude George is right here in Trinidad we never eat those kinds of fish , guys stick to the regular kinds like king , grouper etc . but a lot of times different is better , always looking for new info .:thumbsup2:
man what a score on the anchors!! hope the chain was stainless :thumbsup2: nuff respect on swimming those bastards to the surface!!!
I grabbed ahold of the delta with the 20ft chain and didn't think it was too bad at first, by the time the chain had lifted all the way off the bottom it was really sketchy. I had been debating as to wether or not I would call Andrew over to spot me when I retrieved them, glad I did.

So now your at the surface pumping with a heavy anchor attached to 20ft of chain and a Yack as a boat, where the rass do you go to from there????????

I didnt snap any recently but the next time Im by it ill snap a picture. its a full center console, 28 ft.. powered with twin 150 yamahas.runs great over flat water. rough water got interesting, we had some swells in haulover, it doesnt slam like a fiberglass boat does it gets alot of air coming off the top of a swell if i power up too much.
Tank diving it would get crowded real quick but freediving we could easily do 4 divers off it, plus the captain has no interest in diving so he just wants to drive. once mahi season rolls around ill try and plan a weedline trip.
