I was invited out on a beautiful boat this Wednesday and we went out in search of White Sea Bass. We arrived to our spot and jumped into what was murky water. The viz opened up beautifully on the bottom and there was plenty of reef fish around but sea bass was on everyone's mind. The three of us split up in opposite directions to cover as much ground as possible and I was blessed with a view of 6 juvenile white sea bass schooling below me. One of which was probably legal but I was not sure and as soon as they where there they where gone. I kept searching for perhaps their older brother but no luck. I decided that uni was on the menu and was blessed to have my first California scallop while searching. Tasted ono while I was breathing back up at the surface. No one took any fish home but the uni was great and so was the dive!
Topped the uni off with some home made strawberry wine.
