Possible muzzle configurations

  • Jono.... Are you John Hammond?

  • I'm going to take a tin man muzzle as well, but when teaspoon has done the muzzle I will post pics up here for sure.

Does anyone know if tinman still uses this forum?

  • Jono.... Are you John Hammond?

Yes, i noticed you found my FB page!

I can vouch for Darren's work - if anyone can make that muzzle work and look awesome - its Him!

    Cheers.

    Jono

  • Ohhhhh there's props being given out before the guns finished!! Don't jinx it Jono!

I'm sure it's going to look and perform great, I'm very excited....

Jono that tuna gin you just finished is a real looker, great job..... The Spanish inlays are the best I have seen as well, you can tell a real amount of effort goes into your guns....

Will keep you posted, or maybe Darren will during the muzzle build.... Expect pics soonish....

  • Jono, I'm heading to S.A for a one month drill program, should have a two day R.D.O in between, weather permitting I would be keen for a swim. Boss will fly us into Adelaide for 48hrs. Will be towards the end of the month......

Let me know the exact dates and i will try and sort something out!

Will be a bit touch and go with the weather atm and it gets pretty quiet over winter anyway but will def. try and arrange something (i think a good mate has time off then also and was keen for a dive also).

Yeah that Tuna gun was a real cannon! The mack inlays came out better than i was expecting, have heaps more ab here also if anyone wants some made (its actually not that hard to do). The only annoying thing is that i had to get the gun posted before i could get any decent pics of it as if i didn't get it to its new owner by the weekend it would have been another 2 months at least before he could use it! I don't build guns to make money, i reckon i spend over 20+ hrs on that gun (its all for the love of it :thumbsup2:)

    Cheers

  • I'm hijacking my own thread....... How do you make the inlays?? They don't look easy, I have seen loads of different people do the same style but yours actually look life like.....

Yeah it would have been nice to get that gun on the rocks and get some real pics...

  • Cheers for the offer of sorting a dive out, it would be nice just to get wet and see what S.A is like compared to W.A, it will be my first time in your state.

I replied to you on FB about it earlier but I thought I better mention it here incase you thought I was being rude :confused1:

    Cheers bro

I'll try and do a how to at some stage (next time i'm making one) - it'll be easier to explain that way. :thumbsup2:

    Back on topic!

  • Back off topic, I cut an abalone shell up with a Dremel but I could not get a nice shine to it.
Also the dust is very hazardous.

Yeah its meant to be worse than absestos!

However my method of cutting and material meant there was no grinding and no polishing! :cool2:

  • How to! How to! How to!

Mate I drive to kalgoorlie tomorrow and should be in S.A in 4 days...... We are staying in a house right on the ocean and I will be drilling on an army base, the rigs going to need a couple of days to settle in then I'm on night shift for 6 weeks straight! So nothing to do between 6-11 every morning! Will send details of the address in a few days.

Darren, tried sending the barrel today but post said its to long so I'm looking for a courier now...... Any suggestions?

  • Righteo Teaspoon,

Chose e-go, only 15$ very happy with that..... Please check your P.M when you get a chance.

    See ya bro
