Hello - my name is Chris, and I live in Victoria, British Columbia. I'm trying this sport out as a new challenge, and also looking for another way to get into the water when there are no waves. I have some recreational SCUBA experience from my teenage years, but that's my only underwater experience. Looking forward to learning from all of you.

Hey Seabee,
You have great places to dive up there. Our winter viz has been amazing this year. I am sure your viz is much better then down here in the sound. Good luck with learning to freedive. I barely put on my scuba gear anymore.

It's guys like this that really make me feel like a wimp when I leave 54 degree water during the Cali winter.

5/4 wetsuit! Also, wetsuits are so good nowadays that its fairly easy to stay comfortable.
