Hello all,
My name is Chris and I just started my journey with spearfishing! I first got into scuba diving (just renting gear through sport chalet) and thats when I discovered spearfishing through my instructor. I have all my own gear, waiting for my fins to come in, and at the moment I'm just using a pole spear with a paralyzer tip to hunt small fish. I figured this would be a great way to start out in shallow depths until i become more comfortable going into deeper depths (30+ feet).'
I work in a machine shop as the cutting tools engineer but I also do some machining in my garage. I was even asked to try and make some "slip tip" ends which i think I might try to do.
With all that said I'm looking to hunt mostly in Malibu and santa barbara areas on the weekends but wouldnt mind going a bit north or south every once in a while. I'm looking for people who need a buddy to go with but wont mind being around a newbie. I'm a pretty laid back guy and take criticism well haha:D.
