So what's new... I caught ciguatera once from a lizzard fish, it lasted 4 hours and I survived. It was nasty, but not the end of the world. I am not eating lizzard fish again. But I will not stop eating cuda. Actually I had some fresh cuda yesterday.

1 case per 500,000. They say without published data it's 28X higher.
My feel they might have publish with limited data or it's just not in this article.
Fresh properly Iced fish, compared to fish eaten that was not cared for as well. is one thought. Be interesting to find more data vs this article that might have a different agenda. I just don't know.
Wonder if a diver shoud provide a sample for them to test? If they got hammered with 10,000 samples, they probably would not want to test it all. They could do random tests on samples and get a % of fish with this issue.
Just getting data from Doctor visits might be skewed results and that is still a low number, as long as you are not the 1 out of 500,000.
An email survey for data, doesn't hold much water to me. Anybody here get that survey?
Interesting, Thanks for posting.
Dan still walking around so that's good.
You local guys could drop a fresh (ICED) fillet off at Dan's place, He can be our official food tester.

You're joking but sometimes guys bring me cuda. They like to shoot em' but not to clean/eat them. And they know I'll gladly take it.
