Herculiner coat

I'm searching for alternative to Herculiner coat ,salt won't work as it absorbs the water and coat will lose adhesion ,sand is not good for me ,need something purchase in small quantity and can be applied on the handle .

polyurethane roof sealant.
you can buy it in caulking tubes for pretty cheap.

also fast drying 5200 works well.

Sugar! Just pour sugar over the handle when paint/epoxy is still fresh and hold it with a glove. When the paint dries, rinse with water and the sugar will be gone leaving a "grippy" texture. I did that with a speargun I had and the result was great.
