Pins for floppers

  • I got some floppers and pins from Dan a while back, and they work great. He had both solid pins, and the ones with a little hollow in the end which are a little easier to "mushroom". As it turned out, the pins were just a hair longer than I needed, so I ended up grinding off the hollow end and using them as solid pins. I actually like them better this way, as I think the installation looks neater, and in the future, I would just ask for solid pins.

  • Tip: Don't grind the pins to make them shorter, they get hot and become too soft for shaping with a hammer. Use a dremel cutting disc to cut them to correct length.

Unfortunately I got the pins and floppers from the same source that I was going to get the shafts. Apparently the guy took my deposit for the shafts and disappeared. I still have a bunch of pins and floppers but I will only sell them together http://spearfishing.world/spea…ers-barbs-for-spears.html
