Excellent topic. I have interest in this subject and have actually attended several Preppers meetings where I live. Some of which are held sometimes at the nearest Gander Mountain. After growing up and living in a large urban area, I can say without hesitation that I will never live in one again or at least I prefer not to. I think you can't really do many or all the things mentioned here while in a large metropolitan community and if or when the preverbial fecal matter hits the fan blades, it will start as urban unrest.

I live in a much smaller community now only about 20 miles from obtaining all types of wildlife. We have a well, but not drinking quality. My wife has one year left for her nursing degree and I'm also in the healthcare field. I'm trying to convince her that our next property purchase be in a home with large acreage and quality soil. We already have several land options in mind to do many of the things mentioned here in earnest.

One aspect not mentioned is to accumlutate an ample supply of medical supplies. Materials for stiching, starting an IV, etc...There is also ability to install large gasoline storing units, propane tanks, etc. Gold and silver as well.

    Hey Rick!

Glad to see you here. Great bunch of guys here and site is not administered by a full blown sociopath.

The title of this thread by Lee was truly prophetic. Almost a year to the date to we find out how one of the most respected members of the diving community (Wong) was coerced by the Little Red LyingHood. Truth eventually surfaces and in the case of Megalosaurus it usually is rotten.

Welcome aboard. This has to be one of the larger exodus since a people followed a man that could part seas^^. Although the "promised land" is what you make of it, you'll find it much more pleasant here. Tell your friends and dive partners to join us.

How long did you do the diet rolo and how did you like it

Probably close to a year combined with mostly vegan diet and generally animal protein I either fished or hunted. I stopped as it became too time consuming with my travel, kids and old age^^. I try to eat raw as much as I can, but just don't go into the elaborate dishes I made once before. I took a raw cooking class course and had shit pile of recipes, but again it is time consuming.

I did raw diet several years ago. It should be supplemented with other cooked food. I used to make my own bread and lots of stuff with my dehydrater. Sprouted foods, etc. For juicing I've always been partial to my Vitamix as was mentioned. One of the best machines around and easitly the machine used most in my kitchen. It has something like 1.5 HP and it will even heat food or soups on high power for a minute or two. Pricey but worth every penny.

    Here's a typical smoothie:
    Frozen bananas
    Almond, coconut milk or both
    Raw honey
    Goji berries
    Maca powder
    Vegan protein powder
    Cacao
    Chia seeds
    Raw bee pollen
