Here are some pictures of the new version were it can be seen the reinforced are of the mount and the 0.5mm gap so people can use some tape, inner tube, or other for added grip.

on the new banks board, the line could be looped around the front handle... it will take a lot to break that! The line could be attached to the eyelet with a weak string to have a more streamlined pull trough water. With fish action, the string would break and line would pull from the handle...

Hi
Thanks Sith for the feedback.
The mount he has had a 1mm gap the was requested by another person to allow to make it more tight. It proved to be unnecessary but Sith got one in that batch and combining that with the fact that he used some tape to give more grip between the mount and gun, the gap just increased. Tightening the screws made the mount base tilt...
Taking Sith's feedback and making some adjustments, this new model doesn't have the gap so it should fit exactly in the barrel. using some tape will produce a very small gap. The base was raised a few mm and also some mm out. the base area was reinforced and tilting shouldn't be an issue now.
I have 3 people that want one and will order them tomorrow. -
Everyone that I know who has tried the Zero3 mask complains that it crushes the bridge of their nose. I tried it on and it definitely doesn't fit me. The Sporasub Mystic is a much nicer fit. I've been using a frameless mask that's not too low volume for a while, but I think I may try one of the Micromasks in Hawaii this winter. Everybody raves them
It did that to me too in the beginning but not anymore... it's a matter of adjusting it well but I understand that it won't work fro everyone

I prefer the Sporasub Piranha mask over the omer Zero. The Sporasub Piranha and OMER Zero 3 masks fit similar, and both fall in the new ultra low volume freediving masks category. I found that between the two the Sporasub Piranah offers better peripheral field of vision, and seals a little better under the nose.
The Piranha should be an evolution of the Zero... removed sharp batman corners, also I think they did something about the complains about the pressure in the bridge zone... but I haven´t seen the piranha in person, I use the batman one and am very happy with it

This may be the wrong thread to post these pictures
I think you would be better served with this http://spearfishing.world/unde…e-gopro-mask-mount-3.html

welcome.
the country's name says it all -
It really makes a diference... C4 mech have that (and also another pivoting part that locks the spear) and the trigger in the Urukay with 3 short bands is really smooth... It's not a small gun by any means but the other pivoting part might be the trick...

Nice vid, cool boat, great hoo.:thumbsup2: bent shaft?
Cheers, Don
thanks :).
Boat isn't mine...
Gopro fisheye... the whole gun looks "bent" -
I think I'll just post all my "things" on this thread instead of creating one for each...
Not a video (yet) but some pics form my first wahoo (25kg ~55lbs) :cool2:

Hi Piero, just saw this...
looks like it's too late
Let me know if you'll come again... I sure have some info for you -
I had a High Liner bench swedge tool (450bucks) that I tuned the jaw setting tension on for the Momoi line and crimps I was using. After days of practice with hand polished crimps I was able to get test samples to 95% of the 400lb mono. Untuned hand crimpers are a crap shoot, and line/crimp failures at 40 to 60% of rated line test is common. High quality mono and crimp jobs are only as good as the swedging tool and the operator.
Cheers, Don
Interesting stuff!

To give you an idea of the minimum I know it can hold. A crimped loop held my weight which is I'm embarrassed to say is 240lb.
Thanks.
So it retains,at least 60% (I'm assuming 400 lbs mono) -
now re test it with double and aluminum crimps , thats the real test , all mono should test well above its stated weigh, the rating is the minimum breaking strain . if you can get close to that rating with a crimp ,then you have something
philYeah, those would be the numbers I would be interested in!
Everyone know it will have a lower breaking strength when crimped.... but how much lower? what kind of percentage? It should vary considering different crimps and crimping techniques but still, it would be nice to get an estimate. -

I know some guys that use a vibrating dildo into a condom to attract pelagics... I'm serious.
I use some noises to attract some specific species in some specific situations. Muttons, Jacks, Mackerels and other react very well to certain noises. This might work.
Those guys at the store, during check out: "I'll use this for spearfishing"
