hau- thank you siir and likewise. i always like the indian analogy :native:

mr. mike- yup not the usual reef triggers, this is one of only very few times i'd ever seen one

I see a lot outside the first reef near pompano, not usually bigger than 12" and in small schools of 2-5, bigger ones are usually alone or with one other similar sized fish. I saw them for the first time relatively near the surface on my last beach dive, where they were just roaming with no structure around. The small ones I see are usually on or around the reef mixed in with tangs, parrotfish, or angelfish. They are typically very stupid and approach me within arms reach.

you know Dan, I realize you were joking but we should have done some destruction testing on the short piece....

I suspect the five constrictor knots will hold against most anything, but I wonder if they would fail before the actual bungee.

    all we need is a force guage and a trailor hitch <img src= " height="23" srcset="https://spearfishing.world/forum/images/smilies/emojione/1f606@2x.png 2x">

I can swing by in the mud truck, I've snatched an 8000 pound rig from 3-4 feet of mud, if the bungie can hold it back I'd be impressed.

please post a pic of the trigger if you can, I had to pelagic-like triggers follow me the other day. they were about 10' below the surface in 35-40' of water. Their were 2 of them and the would come in and out of view every couple of minutes.

Hau I only saw one shootable fish today and I friggin missed. Water is too cold for me to continue this year in my rash guard and board shorts, I had to go in early today because I was freezing. Unfortunately I won't have any money for a wetsuit anytime soon because my transmission crapped out on me on the way home. I will report back when I'm shooting fish again.

went out tonight from 4:45-7ish, visibility was dropping to under 20' I didn't see any fish in the daylight hours, found a half dozen lobsters but only one was legal unfortunately. He was my only catch today before i was really uncomfortable in the dark and came in. hopefully conditions improve soon.

I sharpened the tip on my pursuit knife right after I bought it. it works great for me and is far more manageable than my old wenoka

mrmike---I'm very glad to see someone else post sir. I was starting to get lonely. AND, your pictures are great also. Keep them coming. Maybe your pictures will take the heat off me. Nice fish and post sir. Congratulations

will do. I don't know how you always find the hogs, I see one every now and then but they are usually very small. I see lots of macs up this way and its weird because if I troll the reefs in the boat i get spanish and when I spear i usually only see cero, and can only ever shoot the smallest.

Conditions were excellent today although the water is getting a little too cold for a rashguard and board shorts. I got off of work early and worked inside the first reef with a new spearo/snorkeler, got a 20.25" grouper (i thought he was bigger but at least he was legal), a small mac, and 2 very nice lobster including a new PB.

Hau- not trying to hijack your thread just wanted to add N. broward conditions. I hope this is OK
